Favourite Things – Travel

I’m in the process of preparing to head off for solo travel to Isla Mujeres. As an introvert, not only is maintaining my energy levels dependent on the solitude that I’ll embrace, but travel and adventure and time in the sun to explore simply makes me happy. That’s what’s inspiring these travel-related picks.

Wanderlust:

I think these stainless steel bracelets are so cute. I often have travel on my mind so this Wanderlust one is perfect (but there are so many good ones to choose from like not all those who wander are lost, Inhale Exhale, I AM enough, etc.). I appreciate that the words are ‘just for me’ vs everyone to see. Which one would you choose?

Journal:

You need to write it down when you’re travelling (or any time really). What I appreciate in a journal is spiral binding (I prefer it for ease of use) and that it doesn’t feel too big (so I can carry it anywhere easily).

I tend to choose one that’s fairly plain on the outside – the beauty is what you put inside! And I go for old school lined paper vs plain or bullet journals. I figure a journal is on a must-take list for travel.

If you do a lot of writing and worry about the weight of all the journals you would carry on a longer trip, check out Rocketbook, a reusable notebook, and planner. Write by hand for a pen and paper feel, scan with the app, then wipe clean and start again.

Here’s what I love to munch on while I travel:

Larabar Coconut Cream Fruit and Nut Energy Bar:

Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Cholesterol Free, Soy Free, Low Sodium. And it doesn’t melt! I mean, I love me some chocolate, but it can get messy.

And it’s not overly exciting, but I never forget my PROBIOTICS! I take one daily when travelling to keep my tummy happy (always choose one that does not require refrigeration).
