Introvert stereotypes: Are you unintentionally buying in?

Stereotypes are common any time you have a system for categorizing people. In this case, we’re talking about introverts.

It isn’t hard to find some pretty rigid assumptions and statements about what introversion is and how introverts are “supposed” to act.

Just do a quick Google image search for “introvert” and you’ll see what I mean. These negative stereotypes get my blood boiling sometimes.

I even posted a “fill in the blank” question on the Wise Introvert Facebook page to see what kind of responses people would share.

The question is, are YOU perpetuating those stereotypes too?

Or, are you prepared to question the assumptions and decide (and embrace) what YOUR introversion looks like?

What YOUR life can look like. What YOU need in order to stay strong and vibrant and creating.

The moment you decide to refer to information about introversion, you should also be checking in with yourself to decide how true the statements feel for you. You always have the power to accept or let go.

So what will you do with that power? Will you use it to help expand into your full possibility as a unique human, who also happens to be introverted?

Don’t buy in to the stereotypes and unconsciously create limitations!

Choose to create a life you love, ‘do good’, and prosper! Your way.
